Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a prestigious wine with a blend of red fruit and savory notes, balanced acidity, and tannins, perfect for pairing with Italian cuisine.
Hand harvested grapes were fermented in oak vats then moved to Allier or Slovenian oak barrels and aged for 18-24 months before blending and bottling
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano has a long history of prestige, donning the tables of kings and nobility for centuries. Indeed, Thomas Jefferson referred to Vino Nobile di Montepulciano as: "For the present I confine myself to the physical want of some good Montepulciano…". We think that this Boscarelli would fit that bill quite nicely. We had an opportunity to visit this vineyard and have kept a stash of this wine in our cellar ever since. Good blend of red fruit and savory notes, balanced acidity and just the right tannin. This a fantastic wine to accompany your favorite Italian fare.
Aromas of plums, dark cherries, dried herbs and minerals. Medium-to full-bodied with fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. Round and creamy with juicy character and plenty of fruit on the palate. Long, flavorful and vibrant finish. Drink from 2023.
Boscarelli’s flagship wine, produced since 1968, is medium-bodied, floral and fresh in the cool and rainy 2018 vintage. Scents of rose petals lead into flavors of freshly crushed red cherry and raspberry that are propelled by mouthwatering acidity. The tannins feel cool and taut, the wine perhaps less dense and concentrated in this vintage, yet so immediately appealing for its bright and buoyant personality.
