Our founder, Nate Walz's passion for wine began over three decades ago when he worked as a bartender at an Italian restaurant, where he was tasked with mastering a comprehensive wine list. This sparked an insatiable desire for knowledge, leading him to embark on travels to numerous wine regions.
To further his expertise, he pursued various certifications, including the California Wine Appellation Specialist (CWAS), Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), French Wine Scholar (FWS), Italian Wine Scholar (IWS), Spanish Wine Scholar (SWS), and Sommelier. These achievements reflect his unwavering dedication to expanding his understanding of wine and underscore the extent to which his initial infatuation has blossomed into a profound obsession. Now here we are starting this little venture, this labor of love in hopes of sharing this joy of wine with as many people as possible.
