This is absolutely our favorite Super Tuscan, and given the group of wines this represents that is saying a lot. Rich, complex, elegant, loaded with amazing aromas and flavors. This one needs to be in any serious wine cellar, and should only be pulled out for the most precious occasions.

Dark ruby red with opaque core. Fragrant and elegant nose, complex, of cassis and blackcurrants, plus some fine wood, then an interplay of ripe blackberries and subtle spicy components. On the palate enormously polished and full of finesse, with clear, vivid fruit and well-integrated tannin, develops in many layers, precise, very long.

Youthful, featuring intense fresh black currant, blackberry and black cherry fruit wrapped in accents of cedar, Mediterranean scrub and toasty oak, with a mineral streak underlining everything. Shows a solid spine of tannins that lend support, while the dark fruit returns on the finish. Delivers terrific balance, vigor and excruciating length, yet this needs time in the bottle. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc.
