Fall 2022 Club Grand Reserve

This was the inaugural allocation for Club Grand Reserve and we were so excited to include wines that we really felt represented the quality and flavors of each of the 6 regions this allocation represented, along with some of the grapes that are special from those regions. The focus here was California wines, and we included some epic stalwarts here covering Sonoma, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, Napa Valley, and the Santa Cruz Mountains. Some of these producers are well known, while others are well known locally. We travel through several California wine regions with selections representing the very best of what the state has to offer. We start on the Sonoma Coast with a premier allocation-only Burgundian style Pinot Noir. Moving south to Paso Robles we try this incredible Rhone blend from one of the region’s most renowned wine makers. Then it’s back to Sonoma’s Russian River Valley for a highly coveted Zinfandel from California’s considerable arsenal. From there, it’s to Happy Canyon and Santa Barbara for a Cabernet that stands up with the big Cabs of Napa. The pièce de résistance comes in the form of a 100-point Cabernet blend from Napa Valley. We then complete the allocation with a stunner of a wine with great historical significance.
