Occasional Wine Note:  Provence is home to some of the most prized rose wines in the world. Over 88% of production here is rose. As this wine region sits on the Mediterranean coast, the grapes are largely the typical Grenache, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Syrah, etc. grapes you'll find in the adjacent Rhone Valley and Languedoc wine regions. It's on our site because we wanted to ensure we captured a Provence rose somewhere and this one has got to be one of the best values anywhere at just over $10. Refreshing berry with a bit of grapefruit and watermelon. Great warm afternoon treat!

Beautifully structured, this rich wine includes perfumed Mourvèdre in the blend. Ripe strawberry fruits have a pure line of acidity, hinting at mango and pineapple as well as lime freshness.
